Far East Boats is one of the largest Optimist builders in the world and is situated just outside Shanghai in China.  Far East Boats is represented in Africa by Alexander Simonis of Simonis Voogd Design  Our design firm started working with Far East Boats in 2009 developing a new range of larger sailing yachts aimed at the local Chinese as well as overseas market. With nearly 3 decades of design and boatbuilding experience, we were impressed with the quality of workmanship we found at Far East and decided to take on the promotion and sales of their Optimist range in Africa.
